The Gmail app on your phone uses the same signature once it's set on a computer.
Every email app shows signatures a little differently. Send a test email to yourself, and open it on your phone, before you use it for real.
How it works
- 01You type your name, job title and contact details, and add your logo or headshot if you have one online.
- 02Pick one of four templates and your brand color. The preview updates as you type.
- 03We build the signature the way email apps expect it: a simple table with the styles written into it, so it looks the same for everyone you email.
- 04Click Copy signature and paste it into your email app, following the steps for Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail.
Common questions
Why does my logo need a web address?
Email apps load signature images from the web each time someone opens your email. Gmail and Outlook drop images pasted in as files, and they count toward Gmail's size limit. Use the address of the logo on your own website. It should start with https://.
How long can a Gmail signature be?
Up to 10,000 characters, including the code behind the formatting. The generator counts it for you under the preview. Most signatures here use 1,500 to 3,000.
Why does my signature look different in Outlook?
Classic Outlook for Windows uses Microsoft Word to show email, so it ignores some styling. Round headshots show as squares and some spacing is tighter. Our templates are built to still look clean there.
Can I use it on my iPhone?
Yes. Open this page on your iPhone, copy the signature and paste it in Settings → Apps → Mail → Signature. If the formatting changes, shake the phone and tap Undo. The Simple template holds up best on iPhone.
What's the "Made free at burger.tech" line?
A small gray line under your signature that links to this tool. It's how we keep it free. It's on by default, and one checkbox removes it. Nothing is hidden in the code.
Can you make matching signatures for my whole team?
Yes. We set up matching signatures for everyone, plus professional email on your own domain with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Get in touch and we'll take care of it.
Do you save my details?
No. The signature is built in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us or stored. Your logo and headshot load straight from the web addresses you give.
